“This review is specifically to thank the gentleman who came to help us near Emigrant Gulch in a Montana Hazmat Response vehicle. We are visiting the United States from Japan, and while driving near Emigrant Gulch, one of the tires on our rental car was badly damaged. Unfortunately, the rental car did not have the proper tool needed to remove the covers from the wheel bolts. We first called roadside assistance, and a technician came to help us. However, he was unable to remove the wheel-bolt covers because the necessary tool was missing. He told us that we would need to call roadside assistance again and request a tow truck, and then he left. At that point, we felt extremely discouraged and helpless. We were stranded in the heat, far from home, and because English is not our first language, communicating with roadside assistance was not easy for us. We had no idea how many more hours we might have to wait. After we called roadside assistance again, a gentleman from Montana Hazmat Response came to help us. What he did for us was truly remarkable. Because the proper tool was not available, he improvised and made his own tool to remove the damaged wheel-bolt covers. Thanks to his skill and ingenuity, he was able to remove them, replace the damaged tire with the spare tire, and get us safely back on the road. But his kindness did not stop there. He even made another simple tool for us to keep, so that we would be able to remove the wheel-bolt covers ourselves if we had another problem later during our trip. We were deeply moved by his kindness, patience, resourcefulness, and genuine willingness to help us. Without him, we might have been stranded for several more hours in the heat waiting for a tow truck. For two travelers from Japan who were feeling worried and helpless in an unfamiliar place, what he did meant more to us than we can fully express. He did not simply provide roadside assistance. He rescued us from a very difficult situation and gave us the peace ”
