Lake Towing

“I needed a battery boost as car wouldn't start. I called AAA and they set my appointment with Lake Towing. I was home safe as we had snow and blowing snow and crazy below windchill, so I told AAA to schedule me for the next day AAA notified me of the time to come. The driver also called me so I gave him easy directions. The driver started my car and turned my heater on for me. The driver checked my alternator as well. Service was excellent! “Trevor, from Lake Towing, was a true godsend for my family and I! He offered the trust and assurance of family, when we needed it the most. He met us on the side of I-35 when we were all extremely anxious, were far from home, and knew nobody in Iowa at all. If all those employed by Lake Towing are as kind and competent as Trevor, then you can’t go wrong with choosing Lake Towing for your needs! On Sunday evening we were traveling home to OK, from MN, when we apparently didn’t avoid the debris strung across I-35. A few minutes later, the warning light for the front passenger tire came on. My dad got us safely to the side of the highway, but the tire continued to deflate and wouldn’t hold air. Because of my disability, we had few options and called 911 for assistance from Iowa Highway Patrol (IHP). After accessing the tire, the officer took time to listen and understand my situation, that I am unable to transfer out of my wheelchair. Then we all spitballed some ideas, and the officer decided to make a call to Lake Towing. He felt they would be the ones best equipped to serve our needs, and he was right! I’m paralyzed on my right side and wheelchair bound. Therefore, we drive a BraunAbility Chrysler Pacifica. Because of the weight of these handicapped accessible vehicles, you can’t simply put a donut on and drive. They have to be towed on a flatbed wrecker. The other complicating factors for us were: my inability to transfer; the 3 humans and service dog in the car; it was a Sunday evening; and being far from home. As soon as Trevor arrived with the wrecker and his calm, competent demeanor we knew we were in good hands! After he assessed everything, he got us all safely loaded up on the flatbed. The IHP Officer followed to make sure nothing happened as we turned around for the ~15 mile trip back to Clear Lake. Trevor took us straight to the hotel I’d booked last minute, lowered us down, and got us all unloaded. He then loaded the van back up and towed it to the Mas”
